A sustainable community is first and foremost a safe place to live and do business. Cumberland Valley Area Development District has been involved in implementing Homeland Security projects throughout our region.
Cumberland Valley ADD has worked in partnership with the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security to ensure our communities are fully compliant with the National Incident Management System (NIMS). NIMS provides a unified and scalable command structure that can be used to manage pre-planned events or emergency responses. More information about the National Incident Management System can be found here.
Cumberland Valley ADD also actively assists the first-responders in our region with securing the funding they need to fulfill their missions from programs such as:
State Homeland Security Grant Program
Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program
Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant Program
Fire Prevention and Safety Grants
If you have any questions about our involvement with Homeland Security projects or other public safety initiatives, please feel free to call Caitlin Mason at 606-864-7391.
