The Highway Safety Coordinator works in partnership and as an extension of the Division of Highway Safety programs through the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in efforts to reduce traffic collisions, fatalities, injuries, and economic losses relating to traffic collisions through the four “E’s” of transportation Safety:
Coordinator Responsibilities:
*Programs may include the rollover simulator, 3D Drunk & Drugged Driving Simulator, Judgment Day, Mock Crash, Ghost Out, Sweet 16, Fatal Vision Goggles, Intox-I-Clock, etc..
Highway Safety Coordinator develops and maintains working relationships with the Corridor Safety Teams, Regional Traffic Teams, and Emphasis Area Task Teams in order to develop a partnership with other ADD Safety Coordinators.
Highway Safety Coordinator coordinates and conducts quarterly Regional Safety Team meetings.
Highway Safety Coordinator submits monthly and quarterly reports to the KYTC.
*This may include Mature Drivers Courses, Child Passenger Safety, etc...
